Devotional 1: Prayer & your Bible

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are Children of God.
Without the Holy Spirit we would be lost. The Spirit is our guide, comforter, teacher. He reveals things to us by revelation of God’s word and even the world around us.
His presence inside us, the anointing He brings with Him at the moment of Salvation is indispensable to our lives. Jesus told the Pharisees that the Kingdom is not over here, or over there, but that it is inside of you.
It is this Spirit inside you that speaks to you or to your inner man. It will cause you to realize, understand, clarify, and just know that you know these things that were not clear to you only moments before.
You come to know that you are truly a Child of God through these revelations that come to your inner man. These come from the Holy Spirit who lives inside you to teach and guide you.
You must practice hearing what the Spirit says. The best way to start is through prayer and Bible reading. Make these two things a daily part of your life.
